How Rates Are Set

We're committed to transparency and helping you understand the Regulatory Rate Review Process.

Understanding Regulatory Rate Review

We are regulated by the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) - an independent third party that ensures transparency and fair pricing for all customers. Your rates are determined through a public process known as a regulatory rate review.

How You're Billed

Your total bill may vary each month due to the amount of energy used. Whether you're an electric customer, a natural gas customer -- or both -- your bill is based on an actual meter reading that reflects the amount of kWh (electric) or Ccf (gas) units used that month.
